Company Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity now from one of our clients to become a key component of a fast-growing software development company as a DevOps engineer at an industry which is leading vehicle technology company.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

You will be responsible for the Management of the cloud server ecosystem, which will include monitoring EC2/RDS and bare metal servers, executing automation and providing security assurance
You will also be responsible for Designing and deploy systems and methods of business continuity, monitoring, disaster proofing, load balancing, data replication/backup.
In this role you will be working closely with the Technical Director and other stakeholders to ensure overall robustness of our SaaS platform.
You will be Administering and managing regular security/pen testing and performance/load testing.
Actively taking part in design, development, and operations of new services.
Developing and maintaining the support procedures and processes.
Supporting the internal software development team with continuous integration, improvements, testing, third-party integration, and roll out of new services.

Required Skills/Experience

Linux and Windows deployment and administration

AWS experience:
ideally EC2, RDS (MariaDB), Lambda, Redshift

Strong in scripting languages, including python and PowerShell
Cyber security, encryption, infrastructure management

Desirable Skills/Experience
Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:

Having Extensive experience of managing AWS cloud technologies including firewall management (2+ years)
Comprehensive understanding of REST and Web API's, TCP/IP communication, video transcoding, geospatial data
Having Experienced working in an Agile environment and closely with software development team
Our client would desire you to have experience of working with ISO27001 and have an appetite for cyber security
