Provide Education are looking to appoint a reliable and friendly Caretaker to join a local primary school in the Sheffield area on a full-time, long-term basis.

We are looking for someone who works well with others and has good communication skills. Experience of cleaning, including the relevant Health & Safety requirements is desirable, though training will be provided. Daily tasks include locking up the school building and oversight of the school grounds including support with evening lettings. The role will also include cleaning designated areas to a high standard. There may also be some maintenance tasks directed by the Site Manager.


Role Overview:

The brief of site manager/ caretaker can vary widely depending on the size of the school, but often includes some or all of the following:

  • Security of premises;
  • Cleaning duties;
  • Maintenance of property;
  • General maintenance of building and premises.

Skills & Experience Required:


Premises managers need to:

  • Be able to work flexible hours
  • Have basic DIY skills
  • Be comfortable lifting and carrying
  • Hold a current DBS on the update service & safeguarding children level 1 training (Provide Education can provide both of these if needed)
