Description

The O2 is looking for a Production Supervisor to assist with delivering the production operation in the arena and special event spaces, ensuring safe and operationally efficient events.


You will be working closely with, and supervising, the labour provider for The O2 and understanding the workings of all the equipment in particular staging, seating, and rigging whilst managing our contractors on the ground to ensure they're delivering against the brief.


You will be assisting the department with planning on crewing levels for events, as well as acting as the Duty Manager for your department on events as rostered; you'll also be responsible for delivering the department event plans, compliant to venue H&S procedures and current guidance and legislation.


You'll supervise and help to co-ordinate the event contracted production companies, staging, seating, rigging and especially the labour provision for The O2 ensuring that event builds are achieved safely, within the agreed timeframe, always looking to drive efficiencies where possible.


You'll act as the liaison with clients and other internal departments when required providing effective communication of event requirements to the labour contractors at The O2.


We're looking for someone with relevant experience and a keen interest in production and rigging; flexible on working hours and someone who has a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team and to establish good professional relationships with colleagues.


With confidence in Microsoft Office including word and excel; you'll be organised, committed and flexible in your approach to work and able to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritise work.

Ideally, you'll have IOSH or NEBOSH H&S qualification with a forklift licence and a good working knowledge of AutoCAD.


You'll have experience of managing a team, with great communication skills and be able to build good working relationships with a variety of people and departments both internally and externally.


You'll want to raise the bar in this role and be solutions focussed; we encourage new ideas and innovation and value everyone's opinion.
