Full time, permanent
Hybrid - 2 days London based office, 3 days WFH per week
Willingness to travel - nationally and internationally (circa 8 trips per year)

Our client, IMarEST, is a global professional body and learned society for the marine engineering, science, and technology community. Based in London, they are the largest marine organisation spanning 129 countries with over 12,000 members worldwide. IMarEST are a Non-Governmental Organisation who promote the scientific development and advancement of marine engineering, science, and technology.
They provide opportunities for the exchange of ideas and practices and uphold the status, standards and knowledge of marine professionals worldwide.
Due to continued growth, they are now looking for an organised and robust
Professional Service Executive to join their team.
Professional Service Executive, your role:
- Providing administrative support to new and existing accreditations, approvals and CPD recognition processes for marine engineering, science, and technology programmes (including consulting and coordinating with assessors)
- Managing support to the Professional Affairs and Education Committee
- Collaborating with universities, colleges, and organisations arranging accreditation visits, briefing, preparation and subsequent reports
- Maintaining accurate records, processes and documentation and communicating with accredited institutions, as well as attending periodic site visits
- Conducting audits and reviews to ensure compliance with IMarEST accreditation criteria and licensing body regulations
- Representing IMarEST at national and international arena organising and facilitating meetings, visits and travels and managing volunteers/committees
Professional Service Executive, the person:
- Previous experience within senior administrative/PA role
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Comfortable talking to members, industry, academia, governmental/professional bodies
- Presentable, with outstanding attention to detail and a positive, cando attitude
Desirable:
- A University degree in Engineering, Science or Technology
- Experienced with accreditation, certification and membership association
- Knowledge of developing and delivering Initial Professional Development (IPD) programmes for individuals and organisations
- Familiarity with the marine industry or professional organisations
- Exposure to education environment
