TPF Recruitment is recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a fantastic accountancy practice in Folkestone.

You will be responsible for preparing management accounts, vat returns and payroll services to a mixed and varied client base across Kent and the South-East.

You will also have the opportunity to also work in statutory accounts and tax, depending on your experience and aspirations.

You will carve a key role here, adding value to clients and building relationships, within a growing team and firm.


This very successful firm of chartered accountants, based in Folkestone has developed a strong reputation for delivering quality services, along with building strong relationships with its varied client base.

The firm offers a very supportive and team focused environment, reflected by a very low staff turnover and long serving staff.


Joining as an Accounts Assistant based from their Folkestone office, you will carve a key, hands on role, as you develop within this firm and environment.

Acting for varied sole traders, partnerships and limited companies of varying sizes and industry sectors, you will deliver management accounts, VAT and payroll services to a range of clients, as well as the opportunity to work in statuary accounts and tax.


  • Prepare accounts from client records using a variety of software
  • Draft basic tax computations and complete personal tax returns
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and VAT returns where appropriate
  • Deal with initial queries on accounts and liaise with clients in a professional manger
  • Manage own time within predetermined budget for assignments

Benefits:

- £24,000 - £30,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable. A highly competitive benefits.

You may be AAT studying, qualified, or qualified by experience.

You will have anything from - 5 years + experience within a client-facing capacity, either in practice, a bureau or self-employed.

Experience of software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Kashflow etc. would be advantageous.
