Description
Our client are an early stage Fintech Financial Services Lender operating in the UK Commercial Finance industry.

They already operate on a global scale and have a huge level of funding which makes this opportunity so exciting with some fantastic growth plansahead.

We are now recruiting for an experienced Finance Manager who will act as a stand-alone individual responsible for both UK and Netherlands divisions.


You will be responsible for all things finance including Accounts Payable and Account Receivable, Management Accounting, Cash Management, Reporting and Reconciliations, both manual and automated as well as other wider responsibilities.

You will have theopportunity to be instrumental in designing and implementing new processes and/or systems to benefit the overall structure of the Finance department, as well as growing a team around you in the future.

The role reports into the CFO and works very closely withthe country MD.


The role offers hybrid working with 3 days a week from their offices based in Central London alongside the rest of the team.


Responsibilities for Finance Manager:

  • Full Accounts Payable and Account Receivable cycles accurately create, check and process incoming and outgoing invoices
  • Building new processes and continuous improvement of existing to drive efficiencies
  • Timely and correct payment of invoices including company credit cards
  • Performing weekly invoice and bank reconciliations
  • Processing employee expenses claims in line with internal policies and ensure a timely and correct processing
  • Preparing all fixed internal monthly reports and ad hoc financial reports
  • Preparing all monthly management accounts
  • Assisting the external Accountant in preparing the annual accounts
  • Acting as the first point of contact for all finance related questions for our external accountant, suppliers, and colleagues

Qualifications and Requirements for the Finance Manager:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accountancy or Business Technical/Professional Qualifications
  • Qualified / Part qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Strong experience within AR/AP, Cash Management, Reporting & Reconciliations
  • Team player with a positive outlook and 'cando' attitude
  • Proven experience in working for a fastgrowth Startup culture
  • Prepared to roll your sleeves up and contribute to a fastpaced, growing and constantly changing business
  • Advanced level in Excel and MS Office suite
  • An understanding of Commercial Finance or Corporate Finance would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • An eye for detail with particular emphasis on ensuring all records are accurately kept and reconciled
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently to tight deadlines in a highly pressured environment
  • Ability to manage own workload and conflicting priorities including stakeholder management
