Job description:


Supporting the Supply Chain Assurance Lead to:

  • Identify, assess, monitor and report supply chain risk at 'project' level
- aggregate these at the 'system' level and drive risk mitigation action with Vaccine Task Force (VTF) Leaders and cross-government teams

  • Deputise in Supply Chain Assurance Leads absence
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain Assurance Lead to develop and maintain VTF's clear understanding of the risks and issues in the Vaccine supply chain from the geopolitical (e.g. Russia/Ukraine) to the tactical (e.g. cardboard shortages) you will be expected to lead on specific areas of the supply chain.
  • In conjunction with the Supply Chain Assurance Lead, develop plans to support manufacturer in mitigating risks and/or working around known issues to ensure smooth delivery of supply.
  • Maintain supply chain visualisations for all key suppliers (update as and when new intelligence comes to light either from project teams, developers or open source)
  • Take ownership of incident response dashboard (conduct research, collate input and refresh as required)
  • Maintain vaccine category taxonomy to systematically log all key inputs for vaccine production
  • Ensure the VTF leadership has visibility of current issues, risks (including likely crystallisation points) and proposed action.
  • Work closely with project teams to offer support particularly with supply chain risk matters
  • Proactively perform regular horizon scanning activities to understand key challenges within broader vaccine supply chain
  • Maintain key supplier list identify, riskassess and monitor known suppliers within vaccine supply chains
  • Maintain internal SCA risk register and liaise with VTF risk team to ensure alignment against programme level risks

Person specification:


Skills and Experience,:


  • SC Clearance or willingness to undertake it
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent team player able to work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Able to work under own initiative and plan workload based on business priorities
  • 5 years of experience working in procurement and supply chain analysis
  • Experience of working with supply chains
  • Experience of working in an environment with tight deadlines and juggling multiple tasks
  • Experience of working within an operational delivery function with a good understanding of supply & demand planning
