North London Hospice is a registered charity that has been caring for local people since 1984. We welcome people from all communities from across the boroughs of Barnet, Enfield, and Haringey.

We support patients with life-limiting illnesses and care for more than 3,500 people every year. In addition to patients, we also provide physical, emotional, and spiritual care to families, friends, and carers.

Our vision is to provide the best of life, at the end of life, for everyone.

In addition to our Inpatient Unit in Finchley, our Outpatient and Wellbeing Services, based at North London Hospice Enfield, provide support to people with a life-limiting illness which may be treatable but not curable.

As a registered charity, North London Hospice provides free Specialist Palliative Care Services.

Less than 40% of our funding comes from the NHS and so we rely on donations to fund our exceptional care and support, which costs more than £14m a year.

The fundraising team has ambitious growth plans.

We want to double our voluntary income over the next three years and we are looking for someone who has a thirst for great events and stewardship, to join our team and who can play a huge part in supporting our ambition asEvents Fundraising Officer.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong administrative, planning and communication skills who is looking for a flexible, exciting and fast-paced role.

TheEvents Fundraising Officeris a key role in the fundraising team and will be integral to delivery of the key goals and objectives of the Hospice.

TheEvents Fundraising Officerwill support the scoping and development of new events, ideas and options along with maintaining a calendar of events and opportunities for our supporters.

TheEvents Fundraising Officerwill underpin the delivery of the supporter journey working with the Events Fundraising Management team.

There will be the opportunity for theEvents Fundraising Officerto look for opportunities for us to maximise fundraised income for the hospice

This role is fixed term (18 months), working 30 hours per week with a mixture of office and home working.

North London Hospice is the leading provider of end-of-life care in North London, providing specialist care to people at home, in the community and on our Inpatient Unit in Finchley.

Providing vital income for our charity are our 17 retail stores across North London, that, alongside our active fundraising team, generate much of the funds needed to run our services.

Every person at North London Hospice plays a role in supporting people to live their lives as well as they can for as long as they can.

From our nursing, medical and clinical staff, patient and family support and health and wellbeing teams, cleaners & caterers to communications, finance, HR, retail and fundraising support - we all work to ensure exceptional care.
