We are looking for an Office Administrator for a 2 month initial contract.

As part of the team, you will work closely with seven other members of the professional services staff in the Unit, taking responsibility for a variety of duties that support the wide range of Unit activities.

As the Office Administrator you will welcome visitors and thus is important as the public "face" of the Unit.

You will be responsible for supporting the day to day operations and will be required to undertake a wide range of tasks including supporting and advising staff and students on a variety of operational matters as well as providing local IT support relating to new purchases, inventory tracking and set up as well as basic maintenance and management of IT resources.

The role will complement the work of the Faculty IT team and therefore should be mínimalized to management of local IT processes rather than technical support.


The Office Administrator also takes responsibility for managing and maintaining the general building in regards to facilities and will work closely with the Director and the Departmental Manager to report maintenance issues, assist with relocations and refurbishments.

You will also hold the role of Departmental Safety Officer advising on health and safety issues (in line with Health & Safety management policies) undertaking risk assessments and providing local safety inductions, be a Fire Evacuation Marshall and Print Representative (for the 'print' service).

Relevant training will be provided in all these areas.

This role is 100% onsite during term time and 80% on site outside of term and is paid PAYE.
