What does the role look like?
Working within our General Defence Systems Value Stream, we're looking for a


Supply Chain Value Stream Focal to support and meets the needs of the VS, whilst aligning with the Supply Chain commodity teams and the needs of the wider business.


You will play an integral role in supporting our NPI & Bid teams whilst being the interlink between a variety of departments.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills to influence & collaborate with various stakeholders & ensure everything is running smoothly.


What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?

  • Be the Operational SC member of the VS for Global Defence Systems Team, including supporting the new product introduction.
  • Represent SC at daily VS Tier reviews and other appropriate meetings involving supply and demand.
  • Own and manage Supply issues (E2-E4) providing clear, accurate and timely communication to all stakeholders.
  • Support the Senior VS Lead in the development and implementation of supplier strategies and projects to improve quality, cost and delivery performance.
  • Lead and be involved in Continuous Improvement (CORE) activities involving supply and demand.
  • Work closely with leadership and stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and to deliver resolution to complex supplier issues and drive systemic lessons learned
  • Work in a matrix organisation and use effective influencing skills to ensure materials are delivered to plan.
  • Present at an executive level regularly both issue status and improvement activities.
  • Use leading KPI metrics to identify and then drive improvement activities.
  • Be accountable for facilitating the resolution of problems with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Visit suppliers for senior account reviews.
  • Support the bid team in collating data to support securing future orders

  • Operational experience
  • CIPS accreditation and/or a Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain or Engineering would be advantageous
