About the Role

Base Location:
Any SSEN location including Inverness, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Perth, Reading, Oxford, Portsmouth, Slough, Swindon and Poole


Salary:
£40,600 - £61,000 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.


Working Pattern:
Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available | 2/3 days in Reading area every 2 weeks required

As Project Planner at SSEN, your role is pivotal in our new large capital delivery function.

Leveraging your planning and stakeholder management expertise, you will be crafting detailed schedules for new and existing projects in Primavera P6, integrating multiple schedules into one master plan, and guiding projects through to successful completion by managing timelines and resources effectively.


This will include:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive programme planning schedules using Primavera P6 for a variety of projects.
  • Produce integrated master schedules that combine schedules from contractors and suppliers, ensuring seamless project flow.
  • Manage the critical path for projects, ensuring that potential delays are identified early and mitigated.
  • Generate clear and concise reports for senior management to aid in decision making.
  • Support programme baseline management and change control throughout the project lifecycle.

What do I need

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Proven project planning experience in multi-contract engineering and construction projects, and building integrated complex activity networks.
  • Ability to collaborate with managers and contractors to optimize schedules and resolve any conflict points.
  • Extensive experience and proficiency in using Primavera P
  • Expertise in performing delay analysis and evaluating schedule implications of contractor claims.
  • Sound commercial awareness, particularly with construction contracting structures such as NEC3/4.
