What does the role involve?


As an important member of our Collections team, you'll be responsible for identifying and recording customer vulnerability by way of payment arrears at the earliest stage.

You'll record the issues accurately and speak with our customers to provide fair solutions for their repayments which support our values and those of the FCA through treating customers fairly.


Some of your key duties will include:

  • Negotiating and delivering appropriate customer solutions; for example payments arrangements, forbearance, novation, rescheduling and contacting customer to collect overdue payments
  • Ensure all arrears are collected in line with forecast numbers
  • Actively identify vulnerable customers and focus on delivering a fair outcome
  • Working to, and adhering to corporate governance and processes

What are we looking for?


You'll have great communication skills, particularly on the telephone and have experience in negotiating fair outcomes in a Customer Service based environment.


Also, we're looking for the following:

  • Ability to work collaboratively with your colleagues
  • Customer based experience in the Financial sector is preferred
  • Able to prioritise your own workload and work on your own initiative
  • Ability to deal with customers sensitively and with empathy
