This is a great opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller or Finance Manager seeking their next career step The Financial Controller will be the no.1 finance lead in this this highly successful and growing division of a group that is growing fastthrough new business wins and acquisitions.
The division provides specialist product installation and support services so benefits from initial sales and ongoing contract recurring revenues generating turnover of c£10m.
Reporting to the Group Finance Director and playing a key role as part of the division senior leadership team, this 'hands on' role will cover all aspects of financial reporting and control whilst being the trusted finance business partner driving strategyand working closely with operations.
- Preparing management accounts, reports, budgets, commentaries, and financial statements for the division which comprises several operating businesses
- Tracking costing and project performance for installation programmes
- Business planning, budgeting and forecasting with ongoing review and analysis
- Support and challenge the management team including providing insightful business performance metrics to influence commercial decisions
- Working capital management and Credit control
- Ensuring all financial transactions are processed promptly and accurately
- Developing and managing financial systems/policies, constantly seeking to improve processes and procedures
- Monthly payroll, pension, VAT, and payroll tax routines
- Meeting group reporting deadlines and supporting with adhoc projects
- Submission of all statutory returns (including CIS reporting) and managing the annual audit process
- Qualified accountant ( CIMA / ACCA / ACA) with experience of project accounting within the construction sector or similar
- Commercially astute with the ability to support and influence nonfinancial stakeholders as the 'go to' finance business partner
- Good all round accounting skills and happy to be 'hands on'
- Thrive in a growth environment where you can implement processes and procedures that meet immediate and future needs of the business
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent organisation and planning skills meeting local and group expectations
- Enjoy being 'out and about' in the business with some travel between sites
