An opportunity has arisen to join the Histology team at King's College Hospital, covering a maternity absence up to end of June (approx. 6 months).

This post is part time (3 days per week - to be agreed). There are many training opportunities fully supported by the Consultants. We hold teaching slide collections within the department for further training activities.


You will contribute to the provision of a routine comprehensive diagnostic Cellular Pathology service and undertake a range of duties under the supervision of the relevant Histopathology Consultants.

There will be opportunities for you to develop your knowledge of a wide range of histology and cytology specimens. Opportunities to do autopsies exist if interested.

Further duties include preparing for and attending multi-disciplinary team meetings.

You will partake in all activities within the department under the guidance and supervision of the Consultants.

You will work in areas covering Histopathology, Cytology and Autopsies.
