Stock Control Assistant
CPI Books Chatham are recruiting for a full time Stock Control assistant.


Responsibilities will include:


  • Raising purchase orders and checking order acknowledgements
  • Updating purchase order and system with new pricing
  • Booking goods received into our stock system, ensuring delivery notes match our purchase order
  • Assist with ensuring goods received are present and correct on arrival
  • Ensure all stocks have been stored correctly and are in their correct location
  • Ensure stocks have been rotated to ensure first in first out
  • Stock checking materials weekly
  • Dealing with stocks to be returned to suppliers and internal transfers of stock
  • Assist customer services with location of stock
  • Assist with reducing aged or obsolete stock lines

What we're looking for:


  • Off loading stock using counterbalance FLT
  • Control of raw materials
  • Housekeeping in our goods in area
  • Loading vehicles with stock
  • Operation and control of 'first in first out' with stocks
  • Purchasing goods required
  • Updating information on internal systems
  • Physical stocktaking
  • Reporting
  • Close communication with colleagues, suppliers and delivery drivers
There will be an element of manual and heavy lifting where rolls of material need to be stored away.


Key Skills:


  • Counterbalance Forklift (previous or current)
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Competent with excel
  • Confidence with computer work
  • Confidence communicating on the phone
  • Good time management
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Able to work under own initiative
  • Ability to multiskill and prioritise
  • Have a good work ethic and focus on standards required
  • Able to work as part of a team and be willing to help at all times
Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 8 hours per day.

Salary:
£22,000.00-£23,000.00 per year

  • Stock taking: 1 year (required)
Forklift Truck: 1 year (required)

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
