About the job
We are now recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Operative to join our team to manage repairs and maintenance across our portfolio of houses in Nottingham
Key responsibilities
- To provide high standard repairs & maintenance across a portfolio of highquality housing
- Working at the forefront of the business with daily interaction with our customers
- Complete planned & reactive maintenance works
- Undertake periodic health & safety checks and property inspections.
- Carry out statutory compliance inspections and testing such as Portable Appliance Testing, Electrical Visual Condition Reports, and Smoke detector checks.
- Ensuring the security and general appearance of the properties and gardens are maintained in accordance with the required standards
- Managing maintenance & any thirdparty contractor works to a consistently high standard.
- Energy & utility management including meter reading & broadband service management
- Manage customer service and other projects as required
- Assisting with adhoc jobs such as delivering keys, assisting tenants that are locked out
- Basic seasonal garden maintenance
Experience & skills
- Strong level of maintenance experience
- Experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical and decoration
- Some experience in repairing white goods/appliances desirable
- Undertaking periodic health & safety and statutory compliance testing
- Broadband & TV issue diagnosis and resolution
- Excellent communication & customer service skills and enjoys problem solving
- Able to diagnose & complete costeffective repairs in a fastpaced environment.
- Proactive, positive attitude & able to work under own initiative.
- Strong IT skills with the ability to use IOS on iPhone and iPad and experience with Microsoft Office 36
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook.
- Strong organisation and time management with a good attention to detail
- Highly organised and able to work to timeframes
- Salary negotiable depending on experience.
- 1 hour lunch break
Location:
Field-based Nottingham with travel to other cities across the portfolio as and when required.
Full UK driving licence required.
Travel is paid for on company business
25 days holiday + bank holidays
Multiple training courses (including PAT testing, fire warden, legionella and asbestos awareness)
Uniform and PPE is provided
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
£12.00-£15.00 per hour
Schedule:
