Durbin has grown rapidly over the last five decades and our multi-lingual workforce includes pharmacists, medical engineers, and nurses, as well as commercial, warehouse and logistics staff.

Durbin are currently looking for a Warehouse Operative to join their pharmaceutical operations team.


Objective:


To support all warehouse activities, to ensure the efficient and safe distribution of all products to and from Durbin UK facilities.


Responsible for assisting in the day-to-day warehouse functions, to ensure company's targets and objectives are met to meet customer requirements, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and standard operating procedures.


Responsibilities:


  • Handling the full range of pharmaceutical product
  • Efficiently and effectively receiving and storing goods
  • Accurately pack and ship our customer orders to ensure we meet customers' high expectations
  • Consistently achieve targets set for your department
  • Adhering to safety, quality, and production standards
  • Assisting the supervisors and managers with clerical duties e.g., Filing, Inputting data, Matching invoices, Photocopies etc
  • Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy
  • Additional hours (to contractual hours) may be required to meet tight deadlines
  • Assisting internal colleagues with queries and concerns.
  • To carry out the relevant GDP SOPs as instructed by the RP of the Company.

Qualifications and experience:


  • Previous experience working in a pharmaceutical environment is preferred
  • Previous experience of working with ERP and WMS systems.
  • Good working knowledge of 'Good Distribution Practice' (GDP).
  • Good working knowledge of 'Good Warehousing Practice' (GWP)

Skills:


  • Warehouse and Supply chain experience.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Strong organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Selfmotivated and result orientated
  • Working in a team and the ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Proactive approach.
  • Ability to work on rotational shifts between the hours of 8:0022:00 Monday to Friday, and availability to work weekends when required.
