Consultants to work with us at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust in
Breast Radiology.

Shift patterns: short term, long term, Ad hoc (Days, Nights or Weekends)

Hours per week: 40 hours

Rates: £125 - £175
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Maintenance of high-quality patient centred care
- Shared responsibility for the daytoday management of the service and participation in strategic planning
- Teaching and training within the multidisciplinary service
- Active involvement in multidisciplinary team meetings and directorate
- Clinical governance activity
- Active participation in continuing medical education
- Breast Ultrasound, Breast Intervention, Plain film reporting, Mammography, Breast MRI, CT/US (general)
- Supervising undergraduates, doctors in training and other colleagues
Requirements:
Doctors Direct recruit to the highest of NHS standards and all applicants for this role should meet pre-screening requirements before applying
- Full GMC license to practice
- With entry on Specialist Register
- Minimum of 6 months experience in and NHS Trust within the last 2 years
- Fellowship of Royal College of Radiologists (Or equivalent)
- Experience of Breast Ultrasound, Breast Intervention, Plain film reporting, Mammography, Breast MRI, CT/US (general)
- Fully competent in General and Breast Radiology
- Experience of supervising undergraduates, doctors in training and other colleagues
- Ability to offer and be accountable for full and independent expert diagnostic opinion
- Can evidence leading on patient safety issues and achieving a change in practice
