Consultants to work with us at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust in
Breast Radiology.

Shift patterns: short term, long term, Ad hoc (Days, Nights or Weekends)

Hours per week: 40 hours

Rates: £125 - £175


Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Maintenance of high-quality patient centred care
  • Shared responsibility for the daytoday management of the service and participation in strategic planning
  • Teaching and training within the multidisciplinary service
  • Active involvement in multidisciplinary team meetings and directorate
  • Clinical governance activity
  • Active participation in continuing medical education
- play a role in teaching and developing within the Unit

  • Breast Ultrasound, Breast Intervention, Plain film reporting, Mammography, Breast MRI, CT/US (general)
  • Supervising undergraduates, doctors in training and other colleagues

Requirements:

Doctors Direct recruit to the highest of NHS standards and all applicants for this role should meet pre-screening requirements before applying

  • Full GMC license to practice
  • With entry on Specialist Register
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in and NHS Trust within the last 2 years
  • Fellowship of Royal College of Radiologists (Or equivalent)
  • Experience of Breast Ultrasound, Breast Intervention, Plain film reporting, Mammography, Breast MRI, CT/US (general)
  • Fully competent in General and Breast Radiology
  • Experience of supervising undergraduates, doctors in training and other colleagues
  • Ability to offer and be accountable for full and independent expert diagnostic opinion
  • Can evidence leading on patient safety issues and achieving a change in practice
