Newnham College wishes to recruit a second permanent, full-time Housekeeping Supervisor reporting to the Deputy Housekeeping Manager, to assist her in the day-to-day running of the department.

Working as part of an experienced team, this role will help ensure high standards of cleaning and a top-quality domestic service to students, Fellows, staff and guests through a combination of taking on cleaning duties and supervising the work of colleagues.

The salary is based on spine point 27 of the University's single salary spine, which currently equates to £24,144 pa, rising to £24,533 from August 2023. The working hours are 37.5 hours per week, or 8 hours a day with an unpaid half hour for lunch, worked to a published rota and will involve alternate weekend working, therefore some flexibility is expected. The jobs attract other benefits of being a College employee, including 33 days (pro rata) a year holiday (inclusive of bank holidays), free lunches, free parking where available, free use of the College gym and access to USS the College's attractive contributory pension scheme with a current employer contribution rate of 21.6%.
