Simpson Judge are partnering with a leading manufacturing business in Leicester who are looking to appoint a Head of Finance to join the business on a permanent basis.

The business operates with industry-leading patents that have allowed them to speed their growth and market presence greatly. They are financially sound, with the wider business being a part of a large conglomerate.

The role is based in their flagship Leicester office and will be commutable from all areas of Leicester, Leicestershire, Coalville, Loughborough, Nottingham, Derby, Wigston, Market Harborough, Melton Mowbray, Hinckley and Rugby.

As Head of Finance, you will be involved in overseeing the whole financial function for the site.

You will also be involved in:

Lead the Finance team in monthly and quarterly close processes, ensuring financial reporting integrity.
Manage the audit relationship with external auditors and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting for the Senior Executive team and oversee budgeting and forecasting.
Supervise payroll operations, ensuring compliance and assisting with yearend procedures.
Provide strategic business partnership with Operations, Sales Managers, and the Executive team.
Analyse balance sheet accounts monthly, monitor financial controls and KPIs, and maintain cost control.
Manage annual insurance policies and oversee Intercompany relationships for accurate FX reporting.

To be successful as the Head of Finance, you will need substantial experience working in the Manufacturing industry (open to type, eg, Automotive, Food, FMCG).

You will also have the following:

Qualified Accountant in either ACCA / CIMA / ACA, or with substantial experience Qualified by Experience
Experience working within Manufacturing or a very close related sector
Prior experience working at Site Level as number one in Finance
Experience with working closely to Operation Managers
Work on a tight weekly deadline schedule
