An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Chief Operating Officer's Team in the role of the Administrative Support Officer covering 12 month maternity leave.

This role can be undertaken on a fixed term basis or as a secondment.


The Chief Operating Officer's Team is a busy and diverse department, with the Executive Director being responsible for the operational delivery of the Trust.


Undertaking this support role across a small and friendly team of Managers and Personal Assistants within the COO/Clinical Operations Office, the post will contribute to this fast paced, patient focused service which works closely with clinical, managerial and administrative teams across our organisation to support delivery of high quality care for our patients.


The role offers a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the operational side of the Trust, in a central role supporting front line clinical teams to deliver excellent patient care, as well as having the potential for exposure to learn about and liaise with various diverse roles within the Trust.


  • Work in a faced paced but very interesting environment, and able to respond to changing priorities
  • Provide excellent administrative and organisational skills, utilizing software including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word to undertake duties including checking and amending letters, scheduling meetings and updating various documentation, to support us to deliver our ambitious agenda
This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term/secondment contract basis for the maximum period of 12 months.

The fixed term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust's legal obligations regarding fixed term contracts and secondments in relation to the substantive post holder.
