Our team is expanding, and we are in search of a skilled Maintenance Assistant who has a strong background in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and door installations to maintain our high standards of operational excellence and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular maintenance, repair, and installation tasks across various trades such as plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and door installations.
- Perform routine inspections of construction sites and facilities to identify and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to implement effective preventative maintenance programs.
- Respond swiftly to emergency maintenance requests to minimise downtime and ensure safety on all sites.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with the latest health and safety regulations.
- Provide support in setting up construction sites, including installations and fittings as required by projects.
- Work closely with the rest of the construction team to ensure equipment and site issues are resolved quickly, keeping projects on schedule.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in maintenance, specifically with skills in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and hanging doors.
- Technical qualification or certifications in plumbing, electrical work, or carpentry is highly desirable.
- Strong problemsolving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, lift heavy items, and work in varying weather conditions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Flexibility to work outside of standard hours when necessary, including weekends.
- A commitment to safety and knowledge of health and safety regulations in the construction industry.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various sites across London.

Salary:
£18,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
