This is a temporary position initially on a three month contract with the possibility of extension.


SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:


  • To carry out and assist in Fabrication tasks relating the manufacture of machine safety guarding systems.
  • Adhere to all company and departmental processes and procedures. H&S, BRC an 6s.
  • Ensuring all work is entered into the maintenance management system. (Pirana)
  • Work as part of a team with Engineering to improve machine line safety.
  • Be willing to work overtime and other shift patterns as per business needs. (minimum of two weekends per month overtime required)

Experience and Education:


  • Time served Fabricator with relevant proof of qualifications.
  • Minimum of 8 years post qualification work experience.
  • Mig and Stick welding. Tig welding would be an advantage.
  • Experience in metal forming and fabrication.
  • Previous experience in safety guard manufacturing.
  • Ability to work consistently to high standards and prioritise tasks according to workload.
  • Sound decision making skills.
  • The ability to work as part of a team or as an individual. With little to no supervision.

  • Have a high standard of personal performance in all aspects of their work.
  • Have a very neat and tidy approach to their work. Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Be very safety conscious and committed to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Salary:
£12.99 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
