About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Repo Trader at junior Associate level.
In this role, you will:
An Associate role with a Repo trading function in the IFS Macro team, working under the direction of senior managers in London.
As a critical member to the team, this role focuses on the Repo and secured funding needs for Wells Fargo Securities International Limited (WFSIL), Wells Fargo Bank, National Association (WFBNA, US) and Wells Fargo Securities LLC ; and other legal entities.
NB:
In addition to these functions team members are expected to have a strong proactive and independent work ethic and will be required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required
Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute repo transactions to provide funding and short covering for WFSIL and other legal entities / or lines of business that require local access to markets and local expertise
- Work closely with CIB Multi-Currency Funding and Treasurers on executing liquidity strategies
- Work with IFS structuring team on bespoke client funding solutions
- Business Support:
- Work with businesses in London to provide market colour and pricing advice as required
- Assist WFSIL, WFS LLC and WFBNA businesses to optimize funding/collateral management requirements
Skills and requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher, master's degree preferred
- Capital markets experience, with a focus on all funding mechanisms used in EMEA and APAC
Preferred Skills:
- Technical skills in repo systems; previous unsecured and secured funding experience
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills with great attention to detail, accuracy and an appetite towards change management
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with a demanding team in a pressured environment
- Microsoft Office; particularly strong Excel, VBA.
