Group Corporate Accountant

£50,000 - £60,000 p.a. plus bonus

Hybrid, Edinburgh


Our client are a highly regarded Global Real Estate Asset Manager, seeking a Group Corporate Accountant to join their growing team in Edinburgh in a newly created role.


The role is responsible for the day-to-day finance functions across the group, the production of the corporate reporting across, as well as the development of functions and processes to meet the needs of an expanding business with big European exposure.


Key Job Responsibilities include

  • Production of monthly management accounts for review by the senior stakeholders
  • Preparation and classification of inputs to relevant Group reporting as well as relevant KPI's
  • Supporting in budgeting and reforecasting processes
  • Participation in the development or improvement of corporate financial processes
  • Preparation of ad hoc analysis for management and shareholders to allow commercial insight into the corporate businesses
  • Preparation of financial statements and consolidation, liaising with auditors
  • Coordinate the tax compliance obligations of the group with corporate service providers
  • Management and coaching of an Accounts Assistant
  • Overseeing bank reconciliation close by month end and control account reconciliations, as prepared by the Accounts assistant
  • Liaising with client reporting teams to generate fee invoices and ensure timely collection of cash
  • Day to day input into and operation of the corporate banking platform

Key requirements for this role:


  • CA/ACA/ACCA qualification, ideally with prior experience in an investment management firm
  • Experience in financial planning & analysis and statutory financial reporting as well as production of statutory financial statements (including consolidation) is necessary
  • Knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
  • Track record of automation and process improvement
  • Strong excel skills
