We are now seeking a Finance Assistant to join our team on a part-time, permanent basis, working 17.5 hours per week during afternoons.

The Role
As the Finance Assistant, you will assist with the day to day administration of the Finance department.

Specifically, you will look after our purchase ledger where we record all outgoing finances, enter data onto the system and manage the shared inbox.


Additionally, you will:

  • Process invoices from supplier
  • Deal with employee expenses
  • Carry out company credit card processes
  • Chase delivery and invoice queries
  • Update supplier payments, processing duty and VAT invoices
  • Look after petty cash
  • Provide holiday cover for sales ledger work

About You
To join us as a Finance Assistant, you'll need:

  • Good attention to detail
  • IT literacy, including Microsoft packages
  • Excellent communication skills
  • An organised and efficient work ethic
  • At a minimum, five GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades A
  • C / 4 including English and Maths

Experience working with the purchase ledger in a similar role would be beneficial, as would experience of using SAGE software.

Other organisations may call this role Accounts Assistant, Financial Assistant, Accounts Administrator, Finance Administrator, or Accounts Technician.
