An opportunity has arisen within Adult Services Finance and Client Affairs team and we are looking to recruit to a role dealing with Care Charging and Financial re-assessments.

You will report to the Senior Finance Officer and provide support to colleagues within your immediate team and the wider organisation.

You will be required to undertake work around Charging for care and Financial reassessments.

The post holder will work as part of a team to provide charges for home, residential and nursing care within Adult Social Services and your work will include:

  • Calculation of charges for service users in residential placements/nursing care
  • Process charges for home care following financial assessment
  • Setup payment methods to recover charges, either by standing order or invoice
  • Finalise cases on death, discharge or upon termination of care
  • Carry out annual reassessment of residential placement charges
  • Provide advice and deal with any queries regarding financial assessments
  • Resolve queries and deal with complaints in respect of care charges


You will work 37.5 hours each week from Monday to Friday, there is currently opportunity for the post holder to work from home.

The trust operates a flexible working policy and the teams core business hours are from 08:30 to 16:30.
