Freight Forwarder - Logistics - Preston
Are you experienced in Freight Forwarding and looking for a new opportunity?

Do you want to work for a well-established company going through a period of consistent growth?

We are assisting with the recruitment of a Freight Forwarder to join a well-established company who have successfully grown in the last few years and are now looking to grow their Freight Forwarding team by 3.

This is an opportunity to join a multimodal supply chain operation and become an integral part of a close-knit team.

This company are ideally looking for someone who has worked in a freight forwarding / shipping position with experience in either
Deep Sea, European or Irish Freight operations.

The Job role:

As Freight Forwarder, you will be responsible for:

Account Management
Full, Part Load and Groupage
Increase business through Account Management
Quoting
Use of Freight Exchanges / platforms
Administration start to finish
Building excellent relationship with hauliers and suppliers

The Requirements:

To be suitable for the position Freight Forwarder of you will ideally have the following:

Experience in a Freight Forwarding / Shipping position
Drive to grow the business
Experience in quoting clients
Ability to negotiate tariffs
Familiarity of Azyra system would be advantageous

The Package:

Salary circa £25K£30K
Annual attendance bonus
Cash health plan after 6 months
Life Assurance (2 x annual salary)
Salary sacrifice pension scheme
20 days holiday per annum plus bank holiday (increasing with service)
Office based role: 8am 5.30pm Monday
Friday
On site parking
