Job Purpose


To assist in the reception team to ensure the reception department is maintained as a clean, safe and secure department.

Ensuring all KPTs are met and that staff and prisoners are treated with respect and decency at all times.


Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
The job holder will be required to Manage staff carrying out the following responsibilities, activities and duties. Ensuring Local and national policies of SERCO and HMPPS are adhered to

  • Maintaining accurate records in relation to prisoner escorts
  • Bed watches and property cards
  • Ensuring all documentation is prepared on time for any transfers
  • Ensure all complaints are answered in a timely manner
  • Completing administration tasks as directed by the reception manager which will include TNT Booking.
  • Occasional driving tasks will be required to facilitate escorts and transfers

Essential Experience and Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of CMS / Teams
  • Computer literate
  • Organisiational Skills
  • Good people and interpersonal skills
  • Building relationships and team working
  • Able to work on your own annotative
  • Good communication skills
