Description
To provide a comprehensive, reliable, confidential secretarial and admin service to support the Consultant Psychiatrist and clinical team.

To ensure the smooth running of the team which includes; Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist, Specialist Registrar, Senior House Officer, Occupational Therapist, Senior Nurse, Community Psychiatric Nurse, Social Worker and Pharmacist.

To provide a comprehensive, reliable, confidential secretarial and admin service to support the Consultant Psychiatrist and clinical team.

To ensure the smooth running of the team which includes; Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist, Specialist Registrar, Senior House Officer, Occupational Therapist, Senior Nurse, Community Psychiatric Nurse, Social Worker and Pharmacist.


  • Provide a comprehensive secretarial and administrative service to the Consultant Psychiatrist and the Medical Team
  • Maintain good working relationships with all members of the multidisciplinary team, adhering to BSMHFT Everyday Behaviours Guide and Trust Values
  • Attend and accurately minute the weekly Clinical Team Meeting/CPA
  • Ability to tactfully deal with crisis calls and calls of a highly sensitive nature.
  • Accurately minute all meetings and required by the Consultant and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Able to prioritise own workload, working independently and on own initiative.
  • Accurately manage consultants calendar
  • Liase with Ministry of Justice/MHRT
