We are currently looking for a
Purchasing Assistant to join our Production Support Team.

Annual salary of c£25,000
£29,000 DOE + up to a 5% Monthly Bonus after successful completion of probation

As a Purchasing Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our procurement team in sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services essential to our operations.

You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure timely delivery of quality products at competitive prices.

Additionally, you will assist in maintaining supplier relationships, managing purchase orders, and optimising procurement processes.

As we continue to grow, there is opportunity for progression into a management position for the right individual.

Each day, you will:

Assist in sourcing and selecting suppliers and obtaining quotations.
Generate and process purchase orders accurately and efficiently, including receipt of deliveries.
Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies.
Maintain stock on ERP, Setting stock levels and monitoring trends.
Ensure Stock accuracy with regular cycle counts.

Support internal Supply

Raising and Booking of Works orders.

About you:

Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role is preferred
You will have strong administrative experience
Previous experience in the manufacturing industry is advantageous.
Knowledge of sheet metals or extruded materials (desirable)
Experience of supplier audits (desirable)
Experience of supplier contracts (desirable)
You will hold a full driving licence and the ability to travel if required
Good IT and Excel skills
High attention to detail with strong numerical and analytical skills
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
You will thrive in a multitasking environment and be able to adjust your priorities as needed. You will be selfmotivated and have a willingness to get stuck in.
You will work as part of a team, working closely together to deliver an exceptional service.
