Description

We are working closely with a family run Chartered Accountants Practice in Warwickshire, who were established 30 years ago, and have 20 employees based across 2 offices.

Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit an ambitious accountant with a minimum of 3 years' experience in practice.

Main Duties:

Preparation of FRS 102 1A and FRS 105 Financial Statements
Preparation of Corporation Tax Computations and Returns
Preparation of Management Accounts
Bookkeeping including preparation and submission of VAT Returns.
Preparation of Self-Assessment Tax Returns
Advising clients on various tax & VAT matters
Statutory Compliance work, including maintenance of register of directors/members.

Key Skills:

Sound technical accounting knowledge, including preparation of financial statements and knowledge of disclosure requirements
Excellent understanding of the basic principles of bookkeeping and performing reconciliations
Strong understanding of income tax, corporation tax and VAT
Good knowledge of the various software packages
Accurate with good attention to detail demonstrating pride in their work
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are essential
Proven ability to work with discretion and confidential information
Ability to manage work independently as well as part of a team to ensure deadlines are met
Efficient computer skills, especially in excel
