The successful post holder will provide operational management to the team with the patient service centre bases at both sites which includes Medway NHS Foundation Trust and the Offsite Health Records Library at Stirling Park, ensuing they provide a service in accordance with the needs of patients and maximise the contribution to Trust and service objectives.

To work with the Medical Records Service Manager

To liaise with Head of the Patient Service Centre and other Team Leaders to ensure the efficient and effective running of a high quality service within a delegated budget

To be the point first point of contact for the Health Records Department, liaise with internal customers and other departments and representing the service as required

Each patient record must contain all relevant information containing the record of all the episodes of care provided by the Medway NHS Foundation Trust

All notes must be securely stored and must be accounted for with the relevant information to track the patient's journey within Medway NHS Foundation Trust

Troubleshooting problems within the department analyse cause and effect and put measures in place to prevent re-occurrences

To deal effectively and promptly with queries, complaints and issues about the Medical Records Department

To develop and maintain effective communication with the other team leaders and team members involving them in Trust developments, objectives, governance and patient experience including the leading of regular, formal minute team meetings
