Description

Responsibilities:


  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and stimulating lessons tailored to the individual needs of our autistic pupils.
  • Create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Plans for each pupil, in consultation with the Senior Leadership Team and parents/carers.
  • Assess, monitor and track the progress of each pupil, and provide regular feedback to parents/carers.
  • Work collaboratively with our team of specialist Teaching Assistants to ensure that the learning environment is safe, stimulating and inclusive.
  • Attend regular meetings with the Senior Leadership Team, parents/carers and other professionals, to review progress and ensure that the needs of our pupils are being met effectively.

Requirements:


  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in a Primary setting.
  • A proven track record of working with autistic pupils with complex needs, specifically in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Knowledge and understanding of strategies and approaches for supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
  • Ability to create and implement effective IEPs and Behaviour Plans for each pupil.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
