Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Purchasing/Supply Chain Manager on behalf of one of our clients.
Newly created Commercial Graduate role within a growing organisation that is continuously introducing new ranges and is expanding into new Markets

Duties and Responsibilities for the Purchasing/Supply Chain Manager:

  • The role be working within an expanding supply chain department where you will have responsibility for
  • Buying a category of products & services for the company
  • Optimising stock availability and stock levels to agreed targets
  • Managing new & existing suppliers performance with effective KPI
  • Support renegotiations and cost saving activity
  • Liaise closely with all elements of the Business including NPD, Customer Service and operations

Skills and Qualifications for the Purchasing/Supply Chain Manager:

  • Educated to degree level
  • IT Literate particularly Excel
  • Analytical with the ability to plan and prioritize workload and projects to meet deadlines
  • Persuasive & Commercially Astute
  • Appreciation of the need to get the job done on time and to the correct standard
  • Excellent communicator both with internal and external customers
  • Any interest in pursuing a career within purchasing, buying, procurement or supply chain.
  • Previous buying experience would be an advantage but not essential
