Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Purchasing/Supply Chain Manager on behalf of one of our clients.
Newly created Commercial Graduate role within a growing organisation that is continuously introducing new ranges and is expanding into new Markets

Duties and Responsibilities for the Purchasing/Supply Chain Manager:

The role be working within an expanding supply chain department where you will have responsibility for
Buying a category of products & services for the company
Optimising stock availability and stock levels to agreed targets
Managing new & existing suppliers performance with effective KPI
Support renegotiations and cost saving activity
Liaise closely with all elements of the Business including NPD, Customer Service and operations

Skills and Qualifications for the Purchasing/Supply Chain Manager:

Educated to degree level
IT Literate particularly Excel
Analytical with the ability to plan and prioritize workload and projects to meet deadlines
Persuasive & Commercially Astute
Appreciation of the need to get the job done on time and to the correct standard
Excellent communicator both with internal and external customers
Any interest in pursuing a career within purchasing, buying, procurement or supply chain.
Previous buying experience would be an advantage but not essential
