Job description:

Milky Tea Studios are seeking a highly talented Game Designer to deliver the design visions for their games, including inspiring and helping other designers to implement that vision.

Based in Liverpool in the north of England, Milky Tea is an award winning Indie studio. Their ambition is to deliver the most memorable gaming experiences using the latest and greatest technology.

As a Game Designer, you will be working in a collaborative approach with a number of differing areas of devs, helping to define the core gameplay systems of their titles, such as level design, player combat, balancing, player progression, UI, interaction, inventory management, player movement/controls, and bug fixing.

Your responsibilities

Help to inspire a small rapid prototype team to deliver future game ideas
Help create fun playable prototypes and develop them with the support of other team members
Design original, fun, and exciting mechanics that support the game's narratives and themes
Maintain very high standards to ensure all game features and content embrace the game vision, giving feedback on other's work across multiple projects
Identify areas of improvement within existing gameplay features and provide alternative solutions where possible
Create clear and concise game design documentation with great knowledge and understanding of core loops and what makes games fun

The skills and experience you'll being to the role

24+ Years in the industry, having released two or more titles in a Design role.
Actively looking to progress and upskill within your industry career
Interest in working with a small rapid prototype team to help create future ideas for the company
Strong Unity knowledge and scripting knowledge is a bonus
