About the Role

  • We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Co-Ordinator to provide support within Lockheed Martin UK Space under the direction of the Senior and Deputy Programme Managers.
  • Performing the role of Project Co-Ordinator will provide you with the characteristics, capabilities and aspirations to become a Project Manager with the necessary support and development opportunities to fulfil your potential. You'll be offered the potential for great diversity of work and responsibility along with opportunity to progress.
  • Accountable to Head of Satellite Programmes UK, you'll be responsible for monitoring and controlling scope, resourcing, and schedule on assigned projects. You will also directly support the Programme Manager with generating and tracking action plans through to completion which includes participation and recording of key meetings and workshops.
  • This role will also support the company's ambitious growth plans by supporting the facilities team with project coordination of planning, execution, and completion of construction of our UK Satellite Facilities. The responsibilities encompass a wide range, ensuring the project runs smoothly, meeting budget and timeline goals.
  • You'll be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
  • Managing the resource requirements on projects and programmes as assigned by Head of Programmes, including resource planning for assigned programmes
  • Generating data/information for presentations and reports to the business and the customer(s).
  • Work with the Programme Manager(s) and other stakeholders to implement the corrective actions to realign the work to the baseline and budgets.
  • Ensuring that all programmes' budgets are fully planned to ensure that customer and business requirements are met.
  • Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals.
  • Assist in the preparation for Executive Planning Panels
  • Support Baseline Change creation.
  • Help with looking for better ways to generate information for the team (Share Point, Confluence, MS Project, PowerPoint).
  • Collaborate with the Master Planner/Scheduler to help drive schedule related activities

Required skills, qualifications and experience

  • Project Experience: Led or supported project execution within a multistakeholder environment (Project Controller, Project Coordinator, etc.)
  • Problem-Solving: Successfully helped to develop solutions for a variety of challenges, leveraging established policies and practices for guidance and the ability to work under pressure
  • Independent Work: Thrives in a semiautonomous environment, delivering highquality work with mínimal oversight.
  • Technical Skills: Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with Microsoft SharePoint is desirable
  • Positive Attitude: Maintains a "cando" attitude and fosters a collaborative work environment.
  • Teamwork: Committed to contributing to and upholding the Space pursuits collaboration framework (charter, values, and behaviours).
  • Communications: Coordinate communications between stakeholders, including facility users, contractors, and internal departments.
  • Continuous Learning: Demonstrates a strong desire for continuous learning and meticulous attention to detail.
Desirable skills

  • Global Collaboration: Previous experience in a diverse international team (or diverse team) environment with a varying technical skillsets.
  • Space, Engineering, or

Defence Sector Focus:
Project experience within the Space, Engineering, Defence of Public Sector industry.

  • Financial Expertise: Demonstrated success in managing and controlling programmes to achieve targeted financial outcomes
  • Project Planning & Budgeting: Proven experience in developing, maintaining, and controlling complex project plans with a focus on their impact on delivery and overall financial performance.
  • Data Analysis: Expertise in analysing and interpreting key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive informed decisionmaking.
