£77 - £90 per day

We have been made aware of an upcoming needs for additional support in a Year 4 class within a great Primary school in Chalfont St Giles.

The school is anticipating tje arrival of a student with moderate learning difficulties, and we are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work collaboratively with the teacher in facilitating a positive and inclusive learning environment.


As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), your primary responsibility will be working closely with the class teacher to differentiate tasks and adapt the curriculum to meet the specific needs of a child with moderate learning difficulties.

The student in question has low cognitive ability and typically works to an early years curriculum.

The role requires someone with experience in supporting children with similar needs, ensuring they are fully supported in their academic and social development.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with the class teacher to differentiate tasks and modify teaching methods.
  • Provide 1:1 support to the student during class activities.
  • Assistant in the development and implementation of Individualised Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for the studenty
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other support staff.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role
  • Understanding of and experience working with moderate learning difficulties.
  • Availability to work on Monday and Wednesday (full days) and Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapts teaching methods to meet individual needs.
  • DBS on the Update Service, or willing to purchase.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
