Applications are invited for the substantive post of Consultant Respiratory Physician, with an interest in respiratory infection.

The postholder will join the respiratory medicine department at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.

The postholder will be encouraged to develop their interest in respiratory infection, joining an enthusiastic team of colleagues who currently run services dedicated to respiratory immunology, mycobacterial infection, bronchiectasis, the respiratory OPAT service, and neurodisability with respiratory infections.

They will contribute to the on-call respiratory take rota.

Main duties of the job


You will be fully registered with the GMC and ideally have a CCT in Respiratory and General Medicine, or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview.

Applications would be welcomed from those keen to work either full time, less than full time or those wishing to job-share.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
