Description
Initial 8/9 months contract with Plymouth City Council_

  • This role is offering £13.45 P/Hr (UMB)_

Job Summary:


  • To keep the city and local environment clean, tidy and adequately maintained with minimum disruption to residents and the public in compliance with relevant environmental legislation.

Key Duties/Accountabilities:


  • Collection of Garden waste across the city
  • Cleanse public land, highways, and main roads as directed by line manager.
  • Carry out grounds maintenance as directed including using mechanical hand tools such as pedestrian mower, strimmer's and hedge cutters.

Essential Experience Required:


  • Experience of labouring work or heavy manual work
  • Experience in delivering high standards of customer care.
  • Experience of working in a waste based environment
  • Experience of undertaking a variety of manual tasks in a recycling facility.
  • Experience of Health & Safety in an operational environment

Essential Qualifications Required:


  • Functional skills in English and Maths Level 2, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of waste and recycling collection service
  • NVQ Level 2 Waste Management
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and COSHH
  • The closing date for the role is ASAP_
  • Please note_ a _Full clean UK driving licence is required for use of vehicle for work purposes_
