Financial Accountant / £35,000 - £40,000 / Warrington / Study Support / Hybrid Working / Permanent
NC Associates are looking to recruit a Financial Accountant to join a continuously growing company based in Warrington. You will be reporting directing into the Finance Manager.

Duties:

Preparing Quarterly VAT Returns and ensuring all transactions within the period have been treated correctly for VAT purposes.
Full responsibility for preparing monthly payroll for both sites.
Maintaining and updating the Fixed Asset Register.
Preparing & updating monthly analysis for prepayments and accruals
Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all accounts
Monthend journal preparation and posting including depreciation, prepayments, accruals, payroll and others
Review of P&L movements in the month and ensuring items are allocated to the correct accounts. Support Finance Manager in comparing results to budget, forecast and previous periods. Clearly show variances with explanation on the differences.
Update latest shortterm cashflows on a daily basis. Work with the transactional teams as to understand delays in payments or receipts and provide technical support as needed.
Ensure the bank account is reconciled on a daily basis.

Essential Experience Required:

VAT Returns from start to finish
Managing payroll system/process from start to finish
Support in preparation of the monthly management accounts
Strong analytical skills
Ability to work on own initiative and take full responsibility of tasks as well as working as part of a team
Good excel skills
Working to deadlines
Experience in XERO an advantage
