Overview:
We are seeking a Facility Coordinator to join our team in Redland. As a Facility Coordinator, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing the overall upkeep of our facility.
This role requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with power and hand tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Completing relevant documentation always ensuring compliance with guidance, statutory regulation and company policies and procedures.
- Meet and liaise routinely with the General Manager, and Chairs of the Squash and Tennis Committees to ensure fixtures are planned, diarised and well supported from a facilities, equipment and site staffing perspective. This will involve setting out and putting away equipment ready for lessons and tournaments.
- Ensure the grounds are kept safe and secure at all times for members, staff and visitors alike, operating with a safeguarding mindset.
- Oversee the main entrance/exit and visitors to site and be alert at all times to unauthorised/suspicious visitors.
- Maintain immaculate grounds including lawn mowing, hedge trimming, court sweeping, and keeping the site tidy, being mindful of lone working regulations.
- Clean the padel/tennis courts using the leaf blower at the start of each working day.
- Manage and oversee the SAPCA approved schedule of works for the maintenance and care of all Padel and Tennis courts.
- Ensure changing rooms are left clear and clean.
- Ensure machinery is maintained and serviced to an acceptable standard, including maintaining service/repair logs. Arrange for power tools and machinery to be repaired when necessary.
- Oversee maintenance and repair works as instructed by the General Manager.
- Set up (and store) equipment in accordance with the class and fixtures schedule. Keep all store rooms organised and tidy.
- Carry out regular stock takes of equipment to ensure all equipment is kept in good working order.
- Organise equipment in and out of storage for winter and summer seasons. Ensuring everything is in place for the start of a new term.
- Ensure all equipment is cleaned regularly and be responsible for its day to day upkeep and maintenance.
- Undertake a daily walk of the full site to ensure facilities are in excellent working order and ready for use. Oversee the daily upkeep of facilities, sweeping courts and emptying bins.
- Support with hosting sports tournaments (setting up and clearing the site).
- Check and alter the timer to the tennis court and padel floodlighting at the change of seasons as and when necessary.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties associated with the role, as requested by the Club Manager, Chairs of the Squash and Tennis Committees, Head Coaches or Board of Directors.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of all members, visitors and staff at the site at all times.
Essential Requirements;
- Sports field maintenance experience specifically artificial turf.
- Competent DIYer with good practical skills.
- A good team player with excellent customer service skills and a strong work ethic with a focus on delivering work of the highest standard.
- Physically fit with experience of working in a physically demanding environment.
- An interest in landscaping, sports fields, grounds maintenance, horticulture etc.
- Organised, punctual and reliable.
- A full UK driving license.
- The right to work in the UK.
- Willingness to pass an enhanced DBS check.

- Grounds maintenance experience; gardening, horticulture, grass cutting, grass care, hedge cutting, border maintenance etc.
- Experience in using relevant machinery; pedestrian and siton, Tractors, Mowers etc.
- Horticulture / technical qualifications
- H&S and first aid knowledge
Salary:
£26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
