Description
TEXO Recruitment are recruiting for a Senior Buyer to join the TEXO Group. This is a full time permanent role and will be based in Westhill, Aberdeen.


Purpose of the Role:


To coordinate and manage all procurement and material control activities in support of the Group Business Units to ensure all material requirements are met and records maintained.


To provide efficient purchasing and procurement management of material and services, within the company's Supply Chain Management systems, in conjunction with all related departments.

Responsible for ensuring that the organization selects the most appropriate goods and services based on overall value in line with requirements, e.g., the combination of price, quality, delivery, warranty and support.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of the Approved Supplier List.
  • Develop and maintain Procurement Plans for major projects/work scopes.
  • Develop and implement appropriate purchasing strategies to suit a range of requirements.
  • Actively negotiate lead times, prices and T&Cs with suppliers as required with input from stakeholders and support as required from the Commercial Manager.
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure that appropriate QA/QC certification and/or inspection arrangements are in place and adhered to for the receipt of goods and services.
  • Prepare purchase orders for all materials, consumables, tools, and equipment.

Essential:

  • Minimum 5 years' relevant experience within one or more industries such as construction, fabrication, offshore, renewables across a broad range of goods and services.
  • Experience in supporting/leading business improvement initiatives.

£35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
