Key Responsibilities You will be heavily involved and play a big part in the continuing success of our manufacturing facility, its business support groups and relationships with external suppliers.

You will start with specific placements and will gain hands-on experience.

Required experience:

Possess or be willing to work towards a Supply Chain or Logistics biased degree
Competent IT skills with ability to extend knowledge to Access data bases, CAD etc
Numerate
Supply Chain is very number oriented
Ability to problem solve and find solutions under time pressure
Good Social skills
liaise with other departments and service providers
Customer focussed
Supply Chain provides a service to production.
Self-motivated
Work on own initiative to produce results.
Team player
need to work as part of a team as well as an individual.
Planning skills
organised and structured to plan effectively
Able to conduct and participate at meetings at all levels.

The Supply Chain Department at the Ellesmere Port Plant is responsible for the provision of all aspects of material delivery strategy and planning at the plant.

This department supports the plant co-ordination of site utilization changes, ongoing engineering changes, CIP activities and stores visualization. Project management of changes to stores and material flow are also a key responsibility

Apprenticeship Level 2 Supply Chain operative will be provided by Stepping Stones Education & Training

Salary:
From £5.28 per hour
