Main duties of the job:
An Exciting opportunity has arisen to join - and help develop - the Gastroenterology service at Chase Farm & Barnet Hospitals.
We are looking for an applicant who has experience in Gastroenterology and Endoscopic to support the provision and development of service across both hospital sites.
The successful applicants will work within the multidisciplinary establishment with outpatient gastroenterology clinics and endoscopy lists at the Chase Farm Hospital and inpatient work at Barnet Hospital.
This post offers 10 PAs of combined direct clinical and supporting programmed activity.The successful applicants will form part of the out of hours GI bleeding service, contribute to the provision of an inpatient, outpatient GI service and Endoscopy sessions.
The applicants will be encouraged to contribute to the audit, research as well as under- and post-graduate teaching within the department.

Qualifications:

- Full GMC registration
- MRCP or equivalent
- CCT or interview within 6 months of CCT date
Desirable criteria:
- Outstanding research record
- MD or PhD
Experience:

- Broad experience in general clinical gastroenterology and endoscopy
- Training and education of undergraduate and postgraduate students
Desirable criteria:
- Experience in integrated care service development and delivery
Skills and aptitudes:

- Strong teaching skills and experience
- Understanding of clinical governance and audit procedures
