Job brief

We are looking for a retail Sales Assistant initially this will be on a part-time, temporary basis to get us through our busiest time of year with the potential to become a permanent full-time position.

The main job role is to help customers identify and purchase products they require. Sales Assistant duties include selling, restocking and general tidying.

In time you will be required to gain extensive product knowledge to ensure you can advise and assist customers effectively.

As the first point of contact to a large number of people it is essential that our sales assistants be friendly and approachable.

We cater to a very niche market where specific items are required. It is vital that we are able to offer customers with up to date requirements and item specific information.


Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
• Maintain outstanding store condition and visual standards
• Maintain a fully stocked store
• Assessing customers' needs and wants
• Welcome and greet customers
• Manage pointofsale processes
• Checking new deliveries
• Keep up to date with product information
• Accurately describe product features and specifications

Requirements and skills

• Experience in retail sales
• Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• Friendly, helpful, confident and engaging personality
• Basic administration skills
