Our client is a vibrant, friendly school with a welcoming feel.


They are looking for a Receptionist / Administration Assistant to work on a part time basis until July 2024 possibly into the next academic year.

The successful School Receptionist / Administration Assistant will be available to work 2 or 3 days per week.

The ideal School Receptionist / Administration Assistant will have previous experience working on a busy reception desk.


You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels including with parents, students and visitors.

You will have a professional telephone manner and have good attention to detail to take accurate messages and pass on details.


You will have previous, recent experience working with Administration tasks and have to bility to work both on your own initiative and as part of a busy school office team.


General day to day duties will include:

  • Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answer and direct phone calls to the appropriate department or individual
  • Provide information to callers and visitors
  • Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for staff members
  • Receive and sort incoming mail and packages
  • Manage office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary
  • Perform clerical tasks such as typing, data entry, and filing
  • Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks software
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area
The successful School Receptionist / Administration Assistant will have:

  • Proven work experience as a receptionist or in a similar role
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to type accurately and efficiently
  • Knowledge of general office procedures and administrative tasks
  • Professional phone etiquette and customer service skills
It is essential that you have a DBS for this position, ideally on the update service in order to apply


Job Types:
Part-time, Temporary contract

Contract length: 6 months


Salary:
£11.00-£13.00 per hour
