Macular Administration Clerk - Rochdale

Job summary

We have an exciting operational opportunity within the Planned Care Directorate team in the Ophthalmology Team for Permanent Band 3 Macular Administration Clerk.

We have a full time vacancy for a clerical officer to support the macular/diabetic/medical retinal booking and scheduling team and support reception cover for macular treatment outpatient services.

Qualifications

• Diploma level qualification or equivalent experience
• 5 GCSE (or equivalent) including Maths and English
• Customer Care NVQ level 2 or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• We wish to appoint an experienced and organised individual, with good IT skills who is able to demonstrate their ability to follow instructions correctly but also to work independently when required.
• You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be comfortable liaising with people at all levels.
• You must have a good telephone manner as the role also involves contact with patients on the phone.
• You will have good all round administration skills, good basic numeracy and literacy skills, organisational / prioritisation skills, attention to detail and a willingness to be trained.
