Description
The role is primarily based in Plumstead as the primary stores, but also services smaller satellite stores at Paddington (Royal Oak), Romford and Mile End.
Transport will be provided for business use.What are my responsibilities?
- Understand and execute the Spares, Repairs and Logistics strategy for the Elizabeth Line maintenance contract, including, but not limited to;
- Servicing and controlling multiple stores
- Actively controlling materials and stock locations in our asset management system CORMAP (training provided)
- Handling of stock transfer/repairs between customer and supplier
- Interface to the Customer Service Advisor in relation to timely raising of Purchase Orders
- Electronically booking in and out of materials in CORMAP/SAP
- Receiving, controlling, storing and issue of materials, supplies and equipment
- Maintaining the spares according to suppliers' instructions
- Compilation and maintenance of records of supply transactions
- Markings of stores items in general for identification
- Dispatch of items for repair o Goods receipt of stock items back from repair
- Organising the testing and recertification of Spares
- Prepare and execute stock checks and audits of both Customer and Customer Services stock, actively following through on discrepancies until accepted solution.
- Preparation of reports monitor and provide financial figures and progress reports.
- Monitor the fulfilment of the Spares delivery time contractual obligations
- Responsible for organizing and supervising the 'Milk-Rounds collections' among the different customer stores back to Chippenham.
- Monitor the level of stock, making sure not to go beyond critical levels
- Authoring and updating of project specific documentation
- Implementing customer specific logistics requirements
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- Experience in a stores management role (essential)
- Proven experience in the use of SAP, or similar system (preferred)
- Proven ability to build and maintain a productive relationship with the customer, and
- Ability to work under pressure with multiple, and changing, demands (essential)
- Ability to work well both in a team and independently, be selfmotivated and prioritise
- IT proficient
- Driving Licence
