Reporting to:
Venue Manager

Overview

We are looking for a full-time Event Porter (Mon

  • Fri) to supervise a team and provide a high standard of client care within the venue by maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for clients at all times
Key responsibilities


Room Setting & Service:

  • To take down and set up meeting/conference rooms each evening for the following day in accordance with client requirements and company standards
  • Manual handling which includes moving furniture (tables, chairs, AV equipment) for clients needs whilst following health and safety standards
  • To ensure that meeting rooms that are not in use are set up to company standards and therefore available for client showrounds
  • To ensure that all waste removal is carried out according to Health & Safety regulations and company standards
  • Supervising parttime and agency facilities staff and porters and allocating duties to follow client requirements

House-keeping:

  • To ensure that all meeting rooms, staff offices and common areas are maintained to the highest level of cleanliness
  • To clean and restock the washrooms on a daily basis
  • To carry out deepcleaning duties within the venue as per the schedule provided by the Facilities Supervisor
  • To ensure that all waste removal is carried out according to Health & Safety regulations and company standards
  • To ensure that stocks of cleaning materials are maintained by updating stock sheets
  • To store and keep a log of lost property found in meeting rooms and common areas
Health and Safety

  • To carry out duties in accordance with all Health and Safety regulations and company best practice

General:

  • To be available for evening shifts and weekend work where necessary Day/Evening shifts
  • 10:0020:00, 14:0022:00
  • To undertake any reasonable requests for ad hoc duties by the venue team
  • To be available for staff briefings and company events including attendance at the company awayday

Requirements:


  • Experience with event/conference set up or manual handling
  • Experience supervising a team
  • Awareness of Health and Safety regulations
  • Good eye for detail, energetic and adaptable.
  • Flexibility with shift schedule

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£23,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
